Kindle Select is an evolving bundle of promotion and financial benefits that are only available to authors who publish their ebooks exclusively with Amazon. This does not apply at all to traditional books, only ebooks. Here’s a quick run down on the benefits (these change so you may want to double check the current package):
- allow you to give your book away for five days to get new readers and reviews.
- make your book available for “borrow” to their Amazon Prime members (you get paid around $2 per borrow)
- higher commissions in some market place
To sign up for Kindle Select, you agree not to distribute your book via any other ebook vendor for 90 days. The 90 days automatically renew.
