In this week’s episode of The Nancy Ferrari Show, Nancy welcomes her guest, Dr. Shimi Kang, an award-winning Harvard-trained doctor, Researcher, Media Expert, Bestselling Author, and Speaker. They talk about how to raise Healthy Children
She is also the Medical Director for Child and Youth Mental Health for Vancouver community, a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia, and the founder of the Provincial Youth Concurrent Disorders Program at BC Children’s Hospital.
In addition to her first two best-selling books, we will be focusing our conversation on her new book “The Self-Motivated Kid: How to Raise a Healthy, Happy Child Who Knows What they Want and Goes After It (Without Being Told), where she shares how parental intuition leads to successful children and why “play” is essential for brain boosting. We both agree that happy, healthy children will experience joyful lives.
Dr. Kang is most proud of receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for outstanding community service and being a mother of three “awesome” children!
